About This Product

Creamy, buttery, and made the old-fashioned way.

Crafted in small batches by Nordic Creamery in Wisconsin’s Driftless Region, this grass-fed Muenster is made from milk produced by cows that graze on open pastures throughout the growing season and are fed a predominantly grass-hay diet through the winter. The result is a rich, creamy cheese with a mild, buttery flavor and exceptional meltability.=

Its smooth texture and delicate flavor make it just as comfortable on a cheeseboard as it is melted over burgers, tucked into grilled cheese sandwiches, or layered into homemade mac and cheese.

Flavor Profile: Mild, buttery, creamy, with a subtle tang
Best For: Sandwiches, burgers, grilled cheese, mac & cheese, cheeseboards, and everyday snacking
Pairs Well With: Crisp apples, fresh pears, crusty bread, whole-grain mustard, and light lagers or crisp hard cider
Handling: Keep refrigerated. For the fullest flavor and creamiest texture, let the cheese sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes before serving.

Small batch. Grass fed. Wisconsin made.

Refrigerate immediately upon delivery. Most proteins keep 3–5 days in the fridge or up to 6 months in the freezer. Produce is best used within 5–7 days. See the label for specific guidance.

Iron & Acre partners only with farms that meet our sourcing standards: pasture-raised or free-range animals, no routine antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones, and sustainable land practices. Many of our farms are USDA Certified Organic, Animal Welfare Approved, or Certified Humane — look for the badges on each product.

Unlike grocery store products, everything from Iron & Acre is sourced from farms we've personally visited. No middlemen, no warehouses, no mystery supply chains. Your food is packed the morning of delivery.

We deliver bi-weekly on Thursdays to the North Shore and greater Chicagoland area. Orders must be placed by Sunday 5pm CST. Subscribe to save 10% on every delivery — skip or cancel anytime with no fees.
