Food is the Thread That Holds Us Together

At Iron & Acre, we believe food is more than fuel — it's the ritual that anchors a family. It's Tuesday taco night, Sunday breakfasts, the quiet moments around the dinner table. When we feed ourselves well, we show up better — as parents, partners, and people.

Our mission is to bring that kind of food into more homes: clean, honest, nutrient-dense staples from farms that care. Because how we eat shapes how we live.

— The Bahes

"We started this because we couldn't find what we were looking for at the grocery store — and we knew other families couldn't either."

The origin story

Why We Started Iron & Acre

We started Iron & Acre with one simple belief: everyone deserves better food. Not just cleaner ingredients, but a deeper connection to where that food comes from — and the people behind it.

After seeing firsthand how hard it is for small farms to reach customers — and how broken the modern grocery system really is — we knew there had to be a better way.

So we built it: a new kind of grocery experience that puts nutrition, transparency, and local sourcing at the center. Every product we carry is sourced from a named farm within 100 miles. Every farm is vetted in person. No exceptions.

What we stand for

Food You Can Trust. From Farmers Who Care.

01

Radical Transparency

Every product lists the farm it came from. We visit every farm personally before adding them to our network. You'll always know exactly where your food was raised.

02

Local First

We source from farms within 100 miles of the North Shore. Shorter supply chains mean fresher food, lower carbon footprint, and more money staying in the Midwest.

03

No Compromises

No factory farms. No hormones or antibiotics. No chemicals. If a product doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't make it into your delivery. Simple as that.
