  • 2 tsp lemon juice (optional)

  • 4 thick slices FlaRa artisan sourdough bread (day-old works best)

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream
  • Butter, for cooking

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • Step 1: Make the Custard

In a shallow dish, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

  • Step 2: Soak the Bread

Dip each slice of sourdough into the custard for 20–30 seconds per side.

  • Step 3: Cook the French Toast

Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook bread slices 2–3 minutes per side until golden.

  • Step 4: Make the Blackberry-Honey Sauce

In a small saucepan, gently heat blackberries and honey until berries soften and release juices (2–3 minutes). Stir in lemon juice if desired.
