Janie's Mill - Organic All-Purpose Flour (3lb)

Janie's Mill - Organic All-Purpose Flour (3lb)

With Stone-Milling, You Get All the Goodness in Every Grain

  • At Janie’s Mill, we combine the time-tested technology of stone-milling with modern science and the miller’s art.
  • Our stone mill gently crushes all parts of each grain at cool temperatures so that the nutrients in the bran and germ are retained.
  • This means that you get all the nutrients of the whole grain in the exact proportions that we humans evolved to eat.
  • More nutrition translates into more flavor! You’ll taste the difference in everything you make — from cornbread to cookies to quick breads to artisan loaves!

We stone-mill this delicious, nutritious, and versatile flour from the organic Warthog Hard Red Winter Wheat berries that we grow just down the road from Janie's Mill on Janie's Farm. After milling, we sift the flour for a uniform, creamy texture.

Janie's Mill All-Purpose Flour is perfect for cookies, muffins, pancakes, biscuits, scones, banana bread and other quick breads . . . pretty much anything, as the name suggests! The only thing you may NOT want to use it for is yeasted or sourdough bread — for those, try our higher-protein bread flours!

NOTE: This flour, like all stone-milled flours, is not pure white. It is a light beige color because the nutritious germ and some of the bran are present. This means your biscuits, pancakes, etc will not be as white as when made with industrially roller-milled flours -- but they will be much more delicious and nutritious!
