Garlic Chive Compound Butter

Garlic chive compound butter is a simple yet flavorful addition to bread, steak, roasted vegetables, or grilled seafood. This creamy butter infused with minced garlic and fresh chives adds a herby, aromatic richness to any dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped chives.
  2. Add sea salt and optional lemon zest; mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Transfer the compound butter to a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap and shape it into a log.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
